The Institute for Wetland and Environmental Education and Research (IWEER) is a private educational organization dedicated to providing high-quality technical training to professionals in the environmental sciences and to individuals seeking such positions. Since 1993, we have been training environmental professionals to develop and improve their skills and knowledge for job performance as well as for career advancement.
IWEER has assembled a multi-disciplinary faculty of recognized regional and national experts with teaching experience to present a series of short courses on topics relevant to today's environmental professional. Many of the instuctors are or have been university professors. All instructors have practical field experience in the subject they are teaching.
IWEER is approved by the Corps of Army Engineers to provide training in the use of the Corps Wetland Delineation Manual as required for the Corps' Wetland Delineation Certification Program.
"Inspiration is not garnered from litanies of what is flawed;
it resides in humanity's willingess to restore, redress, reform, recover, reimagine, and reconsider.
Healing the wounds of the Earth and its people does not require saintliness or a political party.
It is not a liberal or conservative activity. It is a sacred act."
- Paul Hawken
Thank you for your interest in our training. Unfortunately, because of Covid 19 we have cancelled our classes for the year. It is our plan to offer the training in the Boston and Chicago areas in the spring/summer of 2021. You can still order our publications.
We appreciate your understand and hope you are staying healthy.
